No room earns a remodel like the kitchen. It is where homework gets done, where the family lands after work and school, and the first room a future buyer walks into with an opinion. It is also the room where a remodel touches the most trades at once: cabinets, stone, tile, electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, paint and flooring all meet within a few feet of each other. That is exactly why kitchens are the core of what Garcia's Construction does. All of those trades are ours, so the project moves as one job with one schedule instead of a relay race between subcontractors.
Some kitchens need everything: walls opened up, cabinets replaced, an island added, new flooring run through to the living room. Others need the high-impact pieces only, like new granite countertops, a tile backsplash, an updated sink and faucet, and fresh paint. When we quote your kitchen we will lay out both paths where they exist, because the right project is the one that fits your house and your budget, not the biggest one we can sell you.
Cabinets set the tone of the kitchen and most of the cost, so the cabinet decision comes first. If your boxes are structurally sound, refinishing or repainting them and adding new hardware can look dramatic over new granite. If the layout fights you every day, full replacement lets us fix the workflow: deeper drawers where the pots actually go, pull-outs in the corner, an island that seats the kids. We install both stock and custom cabinetry and will tell you plainly which your kitchen justifies.
Granite is on our business card for a reason. It handles hot pans, survives daily life, and no two slabs are alike. We template after the cabinets are set, cut for tight seams in low-visibility spots, and finish edges the way you pick from real samples. Quartz and other stones are available when a uniform pattern or lower maintenance matters more to you. Either way the sink, faucet and cooktop cutouts are measured to your actual fixtures, not a spec sheet.
The backsplash is where the kitchen gets its personality, whether that is classic subway tile, natural stone or a patterned feature wall behind the range. Under-cabinet lighting, recessed cans and pendants over the island get wired in as part of the same project, which matters in older Katy-area homes where a single overhead fixture has been doing all the work since the nineties. Paint, trim and flooring tie the new kitchen into the rest of the house so it looks like it was always meant to be there.
Kitchens here work harder than most. Big family cooking, entertaining that always ends up in the kitchen, and a climate that swings from air-conditioned dry to porch-humid every time the back door opens. Material choices reflect that: stone that shrugs off heat, cabinet finishes that handle humidity without swelling, and flooring transitions done right over slab foundations. This is the everyday texture of remodeling on the west side, and it is the judgment you are hiring along with the crew.
